We went looking for the catch underneath that and did not locate one: no setup charge, no shortened term, no exit penalty when the year runs out. A company in its opening twelve months genuinely sheds a recurring cost, and free is free. We are not here to quibble with it.

Then the Published Record Ends

The trouble starts at month thirteen.

Our July 2026 review of the public site produced no renewal rate at all. The figure is not stated in the material a shopper would reasonably consult before ordering, which leaves checkout or a phone call as the places it surfaces.

We are not going to supply a number in its place. Fabricating a rival's price would hollow out the one claim this page makes, which is that a charge you will pay repeatedly should be legible before you enter the arrangement that repeats it.

The rate buys a Georgia registered office address, legal process scanned and emailed the day a server hands it over, a document portal, and warnings ahead of the state's spring deadline.

Nine dollars beneath us sits BetterLegal at $90, published and checkable. Our figure ranks among the lowest annual prices advertised for Georgia rather than at the bottom of them, and we would rather write that sentence ourselves than let you find it elsewhere and wonder what else we skipped.

Ending the Inc Authority Appointment in Georgia

Inexpensive, whatever the renewal turns out to be. This state built no separate change-of-agent form, so the update travels on the annual registration when you are inside the spring filing window, or on a $30 amendment at any other time. One Georgia rule constrains your options more than the fee does. A company here may not appoint itself as its own registered agent, which means walking away from a vendor is never a matter of simply taking the role back in house. Someone else has to hold it. The replacement must therefore be lined up before the exit is filed, not after.

Handled in that order there is no gap at any point: new agent engaged, filing submitted, Georgia record confirmed, old arrangement closed.
